Efficiency by Design: Added value brings added revenues
Optimus has conducted extensive research across many industries to identify and provide technologies that are ideal for the surgical environment. The Optimus ISE™ design takes advantage of materials, data systems, and ergonomic developments which lead to improved efficiencies and increased revenues. We avoid technologies that go beyond what is needed in an operating room, since excess technology results in unnecessary expense and little added-value.
The Optimus operating room (ISE™) is equipped with state-of the art technology designed for optimum use by the surgeon and staff. Optimus components eliminate obstacles and hazards, improve operational efficiencies, establish an effective workflow, and enhance safety for patients and hospital personnel. The Optimus ISE™ uses new materials and design for a dramatic improvement in sterilization to help prevent hospital acquired infections.
Although the introduction of advanced technology components costs more initially, the improved efficiencies lead to an immediate increase in revenues, by virtue of the ability to perform more operations per day.
Previously, healthcare facilities resisted the introduction of advanced technologies because of prohibitive expense. While some operational improvements resulted from these invididual technologies, they did not yield significant financial returns.
Because Optimus has fully integrated all these technologies, a healthcare facility will finally realize an added value that impacts the bottom line in a positive way.
For instance, in a facility with 10 operating rooms, the capacity to perform one extra operation per room per day will enable that facility to increase revenues by at least $23 million dollars. This amount is more than enough to make up the differeof nce in cost, and can be achieved in under three months.

10 OR hospital, 5 days a week x 50 weeks
1000 cases a room per year (250 operating days)
1 case per room per day = 2500 extra cases per hospital
2500 x $9,000 DRG/case = $22.5 M extra revenue/ hospital
